Last night I watched an amazing documentary about the musician Edwyn Collins who after suffering a massive stroke, began sketching as a part of the rehabilitation process. His beautiful bird drawings appeared on an exclusive collection for Barbour a few years ago and I deeply regret not having bought one of the shirts. Thankfully they are now available to buy on wallpaper, ceramics and a handful of other items. I’ve fallen in love with their honest delicacy and that in turn has inspired today’s post. Something sketchily simple for your home, to wear or just to admire day in day out on a bathroom shelf. Of course art and our reactions to it are purely subjective, but here are just a few of the finds I love and feel are a perfect fit for The Stylish Stuff.
Edwyn Collins’ beautiful bird print wallpaper £210, and bone china ceramics are available at; http://ellipopp.co.uk/product/crested-tit
Barn Owl side plate £17.95 http://ellipopp.co.uk/product/barn-owl-side-plate
A new discovery for me are the joys of Miss Print, homeware so beautiful I’ve contemplated redecorating a room just to accommodate some of these gorgeous graphic designs. Shown here Poppy and Dandelion Mobile wall papers, £62 per roll.
The Denver vase £35, and Little Trees Platter £22, MissPrint at John Lewis.
Not only are the fragrances swoon worthy but so too the packaging. You’re probably familiar with the joy of Diptyque candles, but may I recommend a spritz of one of these? One of those ‘delights for the bathroom shelf’ I talked about earlier, with the added bonus of being scent from heaven.
Bold and beautiful, this silhouette sketch from Christopher Kane. On Sale NOW @netaporter £357
Not sure which I want more – that gorgeous dog or the bijou handmade, graphic print rug, £30 Graham and Green.

It’s not that I’m obsessed with cushions. Oh no. It’s just that after a hard day, there’s nothing quite so ‘oooh’ as sinking into a sofa of comfortable ones. After many years of favouring the look of embellished Indian ones, I’m now a total convert to comfort. This bevy of delights from Amara Living will do nicely. Very nicely indeed.
Clockwise; Sagesse cushion £77.50, Jean Paul Gaultier ; Seed Heads and Dill cushions £45 each, Clarissa Hulse; Leo cushion cover £44, Day Birger Et Mikkelsen.

It’s delightfully girlish, granted, but this pretty little palette promises luminising properties whilst looking good too. £45 Laura Mercier.
Swirling Swallows on a simple white tee. What’s not to love? Thank you ASOS. £18
Nope, you just can’t take the rock ‘n’ roll out of the girl. Rather hankering after this tea towel from Graham and Green £14 http://www.grahamandgreen.co.uk/rory-dobner-masked-skull-cat-tea-towel
