This July sees a retrospective at The Tate Modern of the work of the artist Georgia O’Keeffe. A trail blazer, a modernist, an independent spirit whose distinct and individual style we celebrate here today. As inspired by the woman herself as legions of artists have been by her paintings – this is an homage to the way O’Keeffe embraced her individuality and channeled her bohemian spirit in the layered, monochromatic palette she always wore. Staying true to her unique sense of style throughout her life, she looked as chic in old age (if not more so) as she did in her youth.
Every story starts with a mood board. The woman. Her art. Her style.

THE STYLISH STUFF BEAUTY NOTE;
To create our ‘no make up, make up look’, make up artist Frances Prescott started with the basics, yes, simply fresh. glowing skin. She used Sisley Photo Blanc Lightening Toning Lotion to cleanse the face before applying Sisley’s ‘Radiant Glow Express Masque’ for just ten minutes. This was followed by a layer of Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer and then a touch of YSL Touche-Éclat under the eyes. Next, Frances used Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream in natural, this was lightly applied over the face using her fingers. To bring a little glow to the skin, she used Bare Minerals Well Rested Face and Eye Brightener and then a touch of Giorgio Armani Cheek Fabric on the eyelids. To finish, lashes were brushed, but not too heavily, with Bare Minerals Lash Domination. Lips were left natural with just a touch of Lanolips 101 Ointment Multipurpose Superbalm and then a daub of Benefit Benetint for that ‘just bitten’ look.
