It might be a tenuous link to the Olympics, but what better way to showcase a little luxe lace and pretty lingerie than inject a slightly sporty feel into the mix. I’ve recently revisited my love affair with the comfort of Adidas track pants and realised just how easily they fit into a day to day wardrobe narrative, partly due to the Chloe SS16 catwalk collection reminding me of just how versatile they can be. Therefore without further ado, I give you lingerie worn with track pants, with baseball hats and Converse. It’s that simple.

Make-up artist and hairdresser Karen Mason shares her tips on how she created the luminous beauty look on Elle;
“First I used ‘No7 Airbrush Away Primer’ to prep the skin followed by ‘Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Super Charged Foundation‘ in bisque light. To add a little colour I added ‘By Terry Blush Glacé’ in Cellular rose; I placed a small amount high on the cheek and then polished it into the skin. This was followed with ‘Marc Jacobs Perfection Powder’ which I gently pressed into skin around the eyes and through the centre of the face. I also added ‘Guerlain Light Powder Bronzer’ onto the cheeks and again through the centre of the face. For the brows I used ‘Clinique’s Brow Pencil’ in blonde and then the ‘Clinique Chubby Stick’ in bronze, along the eye line and blended upwards which helps to secure the powder eye make up and make it more long-lasting. Finally, I added ‘Marc Jacobs Style Eye.con’ in ‘The Glam’, using the bronze tone on the upper and lower lid. A sweep of ‘No7 Stay Perfect Black Kohl’ inside the eye framed the colours perfectly and finally I patted in ‘Marc Jacobs Lipstick in Strange Magic.‘ To keep this look fresh and modern I didn’t add mascara.”

Karen added texture to Elle’s flag of red hair using Phillip Kingsley Preen Cream and Bumble and Bumble hair oil, this gives great shine and conditions the hair too, dry shampoo also gives the perfect finish if you’re looking to add a rougher feel to the look.
