GREEN. Pantone colour of the year, the most consistent shade in nature and my absolute favourite hue. I surround myself with it, from paint colours to home furnishing and of course, clothing. It’s calming. It’s soft on the eye and it has it’s own rainbow spectrum of tones. I’ve yet to be seduced by green eyeshadow, but there’s time. Today’s post celebrates the perfect ten. All in green. Obviously.
KHAKI – my personal favourite. khaki cuts it in casual wear and prettier pieces too. LOVE IS…this little fluted sleeve jacket from Zara £49.99.

GREEN AVEC POM POMS. If you like your military greens dressed up a little, this is the jacket for you. This season if there isn’t a pom pom on it you’re missing a trick, so too a little travel inspired embroidery. I loved this so much I clicked BUY. Jacket £59.99, Zara.
DON’T IT MAKE YOUR GREEN EYES – admittedly I’m terrified when it comes to applying colour to my eyelids, but this subtle use of a delicious sage green by make up artist Karen Mason is really inspiring and straightforward to do. Karen used the Kat Von D ‘shade and light’ eye palette in sage £17, Debenhams
Beauty how to: Karen used a blonde eye brow pencil to fill in the top line of the brows, softly drawing them in, then she used a light tone cream shadow over the entire top of the eyelid (which had already had foundation and powder applied), next she applied a Kat von D Tattoo liner to the lash line and a touch of kohl to the inner eye. (TIP: doing it this way is helpful if you are not confident creating these looks as it can mask any small mistakes). Next, Karen applied the Kat Von D ‘Sage shadow and started by blending along the lash line and outwards into the socket. All the colours were gently blended together with a good shadow brush. (TIP: remember to keep the inner eye by the nose lighter, it’s softer and more elegant, always keep the lash line your darkest point). Finally, Karen added a gold shadow with her fingertips on top of the matte green, making sure it was right in the centre of the eye to add glamour and texture, the eyes were then lined and two parallel flicks added at the outer edge to keep it modern and fresh, finishing with lashings of ultra-thickening Mascara.
One perfectly applied smoulder in sage green and gold by make up artist Karen Mason. The Kat Von D palette below.
